The process begins with the problem or an artistic idea followed by a philosophical and technical solution to resolve the problem or bring the art to life. Thereafter, a concept of approach is developed through collaboration of client and production team.

Production in all its basic forms and best practices is generally made of 3 broad steps.  They are pre-production, production, and post-production.

1)  PRE PRODUCTION

• This is the 1st  and most important part of the process and it includes, sharing ideas, and developing project concepts, establishing locations, obtaining permits, organizing staff, selecting talent, drafting the scripts, storyboards & shot lists, as well as considering the necessary tools, lighting, and equipment best for each scene.  In addition, conceiving themes for creation or selection of sound designs and music tracks are discussed.  All the attributes in the pre-plan process are the components for developing cost and the creation of the overall budget for the production project.

2)  PRODUCTION

• This is the 2nd step of the process, and it entails the actual physical work of preparing the location set with props & lights, camera tracks & rigs, blocking talent, modeling shots, rehearsing scripts, directing the talents and cameras along-with filming the actual performances, A and B rolls.

3)  POST-PRODUCTION

• This is the final step to project completion.  Post production is primarily the editing stage which requires selecting, cutting, splicing and sewing together all the pieces of the production process into a comprehensive story that is told through the art of visual images and the craft of sound to create what we know as filmmaking.
